Volunteer for Stockholm Mushroom Festival 2025 at Frihamnstorget!

At the heart of our festival are the volunteers—our event’s real heroes. These dedicated individuals are the first faces visitors see and play an essential role in bringing the magic of Stockholm Mushroom Festival to life.

As a volunteer, you’ll not only get the chance to learn while helping out but also connect with amazing people, grow your network, and most importantly, become part of a vibrant and supportive community. Ready to join us?

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

Here are some ways in which you will be involved:

  • Kids area

  • Kiosk Bistro

  • Sales

  • Workshops/Lecture Support

  • Market

  • Decoration

  • Documentation (photo, video, socials…)

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The festival takes place from 12:00 to 22:00 on the 4th of October, and the volunteers will be assigned to participate in one of the volunteering shifts. There are three in total:

  • 10:30-15:30 -> The start-up shift of the Festival

  • 15:00-20:00 -> The closing shift of the Festival

  • 18:00-22:00 -> The party shift of the Festival

WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?

  • During your volunteering, you will have a lunch or dinner voucher, constant access to fika, and a place to rest when you are off shift. Maybe even merch as well

  • We’re a tight-knit, creative team, and the event is going to be full of laughter. No experience? No problem! You will learn on the day. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or new to it all, your enthusiasm is what matters most.

  • You will participate in multiple fields! As a volunteer in the mushroom festival, you will be assigned to two roles within your shift so you can experience different roles and not get bored.

  • Bring a friend for free! They won’t have to pay general entrance :)

  • You will be added to a WhatsApp Community to get in contact with other volunteers and who knows, maybe volunteer on some other occasion!

  • We can give a recommendation letter if you would also like this

TIMELINE?

  • Apply by Wednesday the 24th of September at 23:59h

    • We kindly ask that you only apply if you are certain you will be available for one of the time shifts, either 10:30-15:30 / 15:00 - 20:00 / 18:00 - 22:00

  • Volunteers will be accepted on a rolling basis

  • We will have an on-site fika together before the event in order to meet each other and ask questions! (optional)
