Volunteer for The Mushroom festival 2025 at Frihamnstorget!

At the heart of our festival are the volunteers—our event’s real heroes. These dedicated individuals are the first faces visitors see and play an essential role in bringing the magic of The Mushroom Festival to life.

As a volunteer, you’ll not only get the chance to learn while helping out but also connect with amazing people, grow your network, and most importantly, become part of a vibrant and supportive community. Ready to join us?

Here are some ways you can get involved:

  • Kids workshops

  • Cooking

  • Walking around

  • Cleaning up

  • Decoration

Most volunteers help with decoration, answering questions, assisting with food preparation, setting up and cleaning, supporting children's and artists’ activities!

During your volunteering, you will have lunch and a place to rest. We ask all volunteers to be available during the whole time, flexible and ready to lend a hand wherever needed—festival life is full of surprises! We’re a tight-knit, creative team, and the event is going to be full of laughter and artistic moments. No experience? No problem! Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or new to it all, your enthusiasm is what matters most.

We have three shifts (11:00-16:00 / 16:00-21:00 / Cleaning after 21:00), and as a volunteer, you will get 1-2 shifts depending on your interests. You can participate in one field or in multiple! As a volunteer in the mushroom festival, you will be automatically added to the cleaning team.

The festival takes place from 12:00 to 21:00 on the 4th of October, and the volunteering team will start from 11:00. 

Timeline : 

  • Registration is open until the 24th of September

  • Volunteers will be accepted on a rolling basis. We gently ask that apply only if you are sure to be available the whole day during the festival, from 10:30 to 22:00 (cleaning included).

  • We will have an on-site fika together in order to meet each other, and ask questions!

  • The day of the event we will all meet at 10:30h for a briefing. All volunteers need to be present at this time until the end of the cleaning!
